What Does the Awards Process Look Like?

Step 1

Now that you’ve learned a little about us, it’s time for us to learn about you! We start with a discussion on your background to learn a sense of your goals and needs.  We then review our history, our industry, and why our operating units are seeing such rapid growth. We believe very strongly that no matter how good our model is, if it doesn’t meet the goal of our franchisees, then it’s just not a good fit for everyone. This is the first step in determining if your transferable skills and your goals line up with our model to see if a Junkluggers opportunity is the right fit for both of us.

Step 2

Most people looking into a franchise opportunity want to know three things:

  1. How much do I need to invest?
  2. How long does it take to ramp up?
  3. How much can I earn?

This discussion will focus at a high level on your territory. Then we’ll move onto your initial investment in that territory along with some historical data about what kind of revenue our units have produced. And finally, we’ll look at a snapshot of benchmarked revenue vs expenses and of course, we’ll help you project what you could earn.

After this discussion, we’ll ask you to complete our Request for Consideration form. Once we receive it, we’ll forward to you our most current Franchise Disclosure Document and a link to a behavioral assessment that helps us look more closely at your transferable skills.

Step 3

This is our last formal presentation. We’ll review more specifics about training, support and how to grow the business. We’ll finish the conversation with what we expect from you and what you can count on from us.

Step 4

Now is when you’ll get to spend some time with our CEO and founder Josh Cohen. Josh will ask you some questions about how you see yourself in our business and give you a chance to ask him pretty much whatever you like!

Step 5

Your last step takes you to our corporate headquarters in beautiful Stamford, CT.  There you’ll get a chance to tour our facility, our largest operation in the country, and meet your support team. Your agenda for Discovery Day will include:

  • Touring the facility and seeing firsthand how we run an an operation with over a dozen trucks.
  • Witnessing the Customer Loyalty Center (our call center) in action.
  • Viewing a demonstration of our propriety web-based software.
  • Meet with each department head one on one.
  • You’ll even have the opportunity to ride along on a truck and see first hand what our business is all about!

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a solid sense of our company culture and it is pretty likely we’ll both know if we’re headed towards a win-win relationship.
